Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: General information, Screening Quality Assurance Service

Do you have exceptional leadership and motivational skills? Are you a successful clinician/academic with a track record in screening or quality improvement? Could you chair a new advisory committee?

If so, then we could have just the role for you because we are looking to appoint a chair for PHE’s new Screening Quality Assurance Advisory Committee (SQAAC).

The committee will play a pivotal role in advising PHE on the methods used by the screening quality assurance service (SQAS) to quality assure the national screening programmes so that SQAS delivers an effective and cost-effective screening QA service. The committee will consider relevant evidence and advise PHE on what further evaluation and research it should carry out into quality assurance and quality improvement.

Quality imageCandidates for the role of chair should be able to demonstrate experience in one or more of the following:

  • chairing a multidisciplinary group
  • a detailed understanding of quality assurance and quality improvement
  • health services research (ideally in screening programmes)

There is no salary for this post, but expenses will be paid. The time commitment is a minimum of 4 days per year for meetings. To apply for this interesting and rewarding role, visit NHS Jobs, where you can also find the job description and more information about the committee. The closing date for applications is 11 December 2017.

If you think you have what it takes to be the chair, why not apply?
