Phil Gardner

Phil is the national screening IT systems manager for the AAA and diabetic eye screening (DES) programmes. He has worked in a variety of roles in screening, including a number of years as a retinal screener/grader in Sussex and DES programme manager in London, before working as a diabetic retinopathy Screening system specialist in the private sector. He was elected to the Council of The British Association of Retinal Screening (BARS) in 2012, serving as Chairman from 2016 to 2019.
