Clare's background is in midwifery / midwifery research. She joined the newborn hearing screening programme when it was still in its implementation phase. She then joined the newborn and infant physical examination (NIPE) team at the start of the development of the national NIPE SMART IT system. She now works across programmes as an information systems coordinator.

Public Health England (PHE) existed to protect and improve the nation’s health and wellbeing, and reduce health inequalities. It closed on 30 September 2021 and this blog is no longer updated.
