We're marking 50 years of screening for phenylketonuria (PKU) in newborn babies with a special series of blog posts. We start by looking back at how it all started.
We have published the annual screening data for the key performance indicators (KPIs) for the 2018 to 2019 screening year (1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019).
Information gained from an NHS evaluation will inform a final UK National Screening Committee recommendation on whether screening for SCID should become part of the newborn blood spot screening programme.
