We – the Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia (SCT) Screening Programme – are delighted to offer fully funded places and bursaries for eligible practitioners to attend 2 nationally recognised courses delivered by King’s College London:

Today is Jeans for Genes Day and it's a great chance to highlight the fantastic work that goes into diagnosing, treating and supporting children with genetic disorders.

One of the biggest challenges we face is raising awareness of the importance of screening among those people most at risk of the condition we are testing for.

The PHE Screening team

Public Health England (PHE) existed to protect and improve the nation’s health and wellbeing, and reduce health inequalities. It closed on 30 September 2021 and this blog is no longer updated.
