Working together to improve uptake of breast screening across Lancashire and South Cumbria
NHS England (Lancashire and South Cumbria) commissioned a piece of work with its local breast screening services to raise awareness of breast screening.
Kath qualified as a nurse in 1994 and has worked predominantly in women’s health since then, in gynaecology, as a midwife and then in sexual health. Kath has worked in the public health commissioning team in Lancashire and South Cumbria since 2013 and supports the breast and cervical screening programmes and school-based immunisation programmes.

Public Health England (PHE) existed to protect and improve the nation’s health and wellbeing, and reduce health inequalities. It closed on 30 September 2021 and this blog is no longer updated.
