Jo is the data and information manager for the diabetic eye and abdominal aortic aneurysm screening programmes. She studied natural sciences at university, specialising in pathology, which led to her interest in public health. Her first job out of university was as an epidemiology and information analyst in the South West regional team of the Health Protection Agency. She worked on a variety of communicable diseases and was involved in the development of the national health protection profiles during her 8 years there. She moved to her current position in 2014.
