Working together to improve uptake of breast screening across Lancashire and South Cumbria
NHS England (Lancashire and South Cumbria) commissioned a piece of work with its local breast screening services to raise awareness of breast screening.
Janet joined the South Lancashire breast screening team in 2017 as patient navigator to help improve the breast screening uptake of eligible women and promote and raise awareness of the importance of breast screening. With support from colleagues and local community Janet has actively participated in local fundraising events, successfully raising over £7,000 to date for the trust’s Women’s Wish fund.

Public Health England (PHE) existed to protect and improve the nation’s health and wellbeing, and reduce health inequalities. It closed on 30 September 2021 and this blog is no longer updated.
