New breast screening film focuses on women with learning disabilities
The film aims to take the fear out of breast screening and make it more accessible for women with learning disabilities.
Ingrid is a lead clinical nurse specialist at Avon Breast Screening, North Bristol NHS Trust. She works with 2 colleagues to support women recalled for assessment. They are also working to increase the uptake of breast screening, both in general and among non-attenders.
The film aims to take the fear out of breast screening and make it more accessible for women with learning disabilities.
Public Health England (PHE) existed to protect and improve the nation’s health and wellbeing, and reduce health inequalities. It closed on 30 September 2021 and this blog is no longer updated.
